Q: Is it safe to feed my dog raw meat?
A: Yes. Dogs have very different digestive tracts that allow them to handle raw meat. Feeding raw, fresh food helps dogs access all of the nutrients that naturally occur in meat (and veggies).
Q: Why should dog food be raw?
A: Every species on earth should be eating a biologically appropriate diet. That is why cows eat grass and pandas eat bamboo. Dogs are so closely related to wolves that they can interbreed and they share the identical digestive system. Their biologically appropriate diet is prey and they eat the lot – meat, bones, innards, you name it. Moreover, they don’t cook it first. Cooking alters a food’s molecular structure and destroys much of its nutritional value. Cooked food is actually rather unhealthy for dogs.
Q: What are the benefits of feeding a raw food diet?
A: There is considerable evidence to show that a natural, raw food diet results in numerous benefits including a glossy coat, healthy skin, lean muscle tone, robust immune system, sweet smelling breath, healthy teeth and gums, increased energy, better digestion and a strong heart. A specially formulated raw food diet is especially beneficial for working dogs as it helps performance and healing. Its advantages cannot be overstated, dogs eating a raw food diet can be expected to live longer and to suffer less illness and disease.

Q: Can raw food help with weight loss?
A: Raw food is the easiest, healthiest way to help your dog return to his or her correct weight without feeling hungry.
Q: Are dogs fed with raw meat more prone to worms?
A: Dogs eating raw meat don’t suffer from worms any more than dogs on other diets.
Q: What about the bacteria on raw meat?
A: Dogs have the most amazing immune system. Consider what they sniff, lick and eat during the course of a typical walk in a park! The bacteria found on fresh meat poses no threats to them whatsoever. Further, our meat products are prepared and snap frozen within 4 hours of being collected from human-grade suppliers.
Q: How do you switch a dog from processed food (kibble) to raw food?
A: It is generally fine to switch from your usual food to a balanced, raw food diet without any transition period. However, it is worth bearing in mind that in the wild dogs do not eat every day! Indeed, many vets recommend fasting a dog once a week to give their digestive systems a rest. A day of fasting before you switch to a raw diet has much to be said for it.
Q: How will my order arrive?
A: Our products come in a reinforced and temperature insulated box. We recommend transferring the products directly into your freezer and defrosting as required.
Q: Are you meals balanced?
A: We recommend rotating through our meals to ensure a balanced diet.
Q: Are your products fresh or frozen?
A: Our products are made fresh and then immediately frozen. All meals are made weekly in micro batches.
Q: Do your products contain preservatives?
Q: How long will my meals last in the fridge or freezer?
A: Our products will last naturally in the freezer for up to three (3) months. Once transferred to the fridge, use within four (4) days.
Q: Can I use more than one discount code?
A: Only one discount code can be used in each order. These cannot be used in conjunction with other offers.
Q: Can I order a sample of your food?
A: Yes, we offer 250g samples of The Naked Dog meals for $4.95. These can be purchased individually or in conjunction with any other order. A $10 minimum website order applies.
Q: Do you offer discounts for bulk purchases?

Q: Do I have to subscribe?
A: No you do not, simply leave the 'One-time purchase' box ticket on each product page.
Q: How can I set up a subscription?
A: On each product page, you will see an option to "Subscribe and Save". Simply select this option, the desired frequency and then process it as per any normal order.
Q: I'm away. or have leftover products from my last delivery?
A: Log into your account and select the 'skip' or 'pause' options in your subscription settings. You will not be billed during this period..
Q: Can I change the products in my subscription?
A: To change (add or remove) any products you will have to login to your account and adjust the subscription accordingly.
Q: How can I cancel my subscription?
A: To cancel any subscription, simply log in to your account and press 'cancel my subscription'.
Q: What intervals can I choose?
A: We currently offer one (1) week, two (2) week and four (4) week subscriptions. For example, if you wanted your order delivered every week, then select 'week' from the drop down menu.
Q: Do I get a discount if I subscribe?
A: Yes, every subscription will receive an ongoing discount ranging from 5-15%.
Pickup & Delivery
Q: When does my order need to be in by?
A: For Canberra and Queanbeyan Sunday afternoon deliveries: All orders must be placed by Midnight Saturday. Alternatively orders may be picked up at anytime once given confirmation.
Q: What time can we pickup our meals?
A: If you would like to pickup please ensure you have used the correct checkout. You will receive confirmation via email or text once your order is ready (typically within 4 hours). Pickup is available 7 days a week.
Q: What time do you deliver?
A: Sunday deliveries begin at 11:00am until around 6pm, this time may vary due to the amount of orders. If you would like a one hour window of what time your order will be delivered please email us by Midday on Sunday at email@example.com.
Q: What if I am not home?
A: You do not have to be home for us to deliver your order. Our packaging has been designed to keep your meals frozen for 6-10 hours before placing into your fridge or freezer. For more information regarding our packaging, please see the following link: www.woolcoolaustralia.com/performance.
Q: Do you charge for deliveries?
A: Delivery is FREE for all orders $60 and over in the Canberra and Queanbeyan region. A $5 fee applies for all smaller orders.
Q: Is there a minimum order?
A: Yes, there is a minimum order of $10 before the website will allow you to checkout.
Q: Where do you deliver?
A: We deliver weekly to the Canberra and Queanbeyan region. We also use a courier service to ship products to Sydney, Melbourne, Albury, Central Coast, Wollongong, Newcastle and Young.

Q: What do I do if I didn't receive exactly what I ordered?
A: We have great attention to detail when it comes to packing the dozens of orders we send out every week. However, if you feel you didn't receive exactly what you ordered, contact us at email@example.com to have it rectified.
Q: What if I live in a high rise or gated complex?
A: Please leave delivery notes with instructions on how to enter the complex (such as a code or buzzer), or if it’s okay to leave your order at the reception or front gate. If you haven’t left any specific instructions, we will leave your order in the safest place possible.
Q: Why do you use wool?
A: Woolcool insulated packaging has been independently proven to keep meat within the critical 2°c and 8°c from 24 hours to more than 72 hours. Woolcool has also been independently proven to keep food contents below the all important 5°c for at least 24 hours and longer.
Q: How does your insulation compare to polystyrene?
A: Temperature after 24 hour testing. Q: What do I do with the insulated boxes?
A: We are environmentally conscious, so we endeavour to reuse as much packaging as possible. Please leave the box, insulation and ice pack outside on the day of your next delivery or alternatively, you can drop it off at our pickup location at any time.
Q: Is your packaging recyclable?
A: Yes! Woolcool products are primarily made from wool and cardboard/paper based materials, some of which are from recycled sources. These are renewable and compostable/recyclable.
